Whanganui has a lot of things to do ! We have artist studios , galleries, Chronicle glass,  an Observatory, museum Saturday market, parks, Virginia Lake, there is a walk or cycle around the river's bridges which can include a steep climb up the hill to the tower ! The view is well worth the climb. Kai Iwi Beach, Whanganui Walls, Royal Whanganui Opera House for shows.  We have the most coffee shops per capita and restaurants are plentiful. The information centre is a good start.
